Congratulations to all of our students at 1504 for completing another year at IMSA. With the year over, we'd like to go over the programming and events we had in the month of May as our students were preparing for Summer! Starting off with the first week of May, 1504 enjoyed an End of the Year Pizza Party at the campus slabs. Our RSLs helped set up the event for all the students, as everyone enjoyed sports, socializing and music! In the weeks following our End of the Year pizza party, RC Caleb took a couple of students to the Brookfield Zoo! They had a great time and enjoyed the relaxing vibes of the city as they witnessed the abundance of wildlife.      We want to thank all the students and their families for trusting us to support and care take for them this year, and wish everyone a happy and sunny Summer! We will see you all, next August!  THANK YOU!

Happy May!! Time flies! We are in the final stretch of the academic year with one full month remaining. The residents of 1504 have been engaging in a variety of activities in addition to their studies this past month. We look forward to finishing the year on a great note with more activities and opportunities for our scholars. Please stay tuned for any communication regarding our end of the year events in addition to move-out expectations. This past month, we welcomed a new member to the 1504 RC Team. RC Maurice Haney returned to IMSA and Res Life. Prior to his return, Maurice served in various roles within Higher Ed. Maurice is excited to return and serve the A wing residents along with the rest of the 1504 family.     1504 hosted a Hall Taco Night. There was a ton of great food and fun had by all who attended.  Last week, 1504 hosted an Easter Egg Hunt. Eggs were found all around the hall. The grand prize was spotted and found by a committe...

1504: FEBRUARY! Welcome back to another series of 1504 monthly highlights! Our students were up to a lot. Clash, Clash Party, Programming, Valentines, and more! 1504 PLACES 3rd in Clash! 1504 participated in this year's Clash of the Halls. We had several students come out and participate in game show, murals, drill, and more. Their efforts culminated in moments of community and engagement. Overall, 1504 placed 3rd out of the 7 halls. A huge improvement from last year! As a result of their efforts and the collaboration of wing parents with the RCs, 04 held a clash party with food and music for all! Here are a couple of pics from the celebration! Mod21 Wishes Our Students a Happy Valentines! A couple of our students had the opportunity to hear the talented acapella club Mod21 perform them a Valentine's tribute! ISA hosts at 1504! ISA, the Indian Student Association, had the opportunity to host a food showcase night at 1504! The student board helped and introduced the students to ...

New Year, New Hall!  Happy new year y'all.  I hope everyone had a restful holiday season and is ready to attack the new year on a positive note. In 1504, everyone seemed to return from break in high spirits. The biggest news of the month has been our ongoing preparation for February's Clash of the Halls, but we'll go into more detail about that in the next edition. January also saw IMSA's Lunar New Year cultural show. Several 04 students participated in the performance celebrating east Asian and Pacific Island culture. 1504 Students, among others, perform for Lunar (Images sourced from IMSA Student Productions) Back in the hall this month's programming was kept lighthearted, fun, and socially engaging as we transitioned smoothly from Intersession back into the regular school year. A highlight of this was our MLK jr. day programming, where each wing's RSLs hosted a movie night where the feature film highlighted, in some way, the value of diversity. This program a...

HOLIDAYS AT 1504! B-Wing's Christmas Tree! As we closed the first semester of the academic year, 1504 decorated the hall, the wings, and stayed on top of their game as we ended up closing the end of the year. We thank all of the parents and students for making the transition from Home away from Home to Home!  Programming Spotlight: Diversity Puzzle To wrap up the semester and decorate the wing, C-Wing students decorated their own puzzle by personalizing it! As you can see it makes a detailed and diverse canvas of the personalities that fill the wing. A form of expression that encompasses the several minds that 1504 homes! We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the upcoming Spring semester and hope everyone enjoys the break! Thank you!

Exciting Updates from IMSA’s 1504 Residence Hall!   There’s a lot happening in the 1504 Residence Hall this month, and we’re here to keep you in the loop with some exciting updates!   First off, a warm farewell and a big thank you to our Resident Counselor (RC), Griffin, who will be transitioning from 1504 to 1503. Griffin has done an incredible job supporting and guiding the residents of 1504, and while we will miss them, we wish them all the best in their new role! In other news, the B-Wing sophomores recently enjoyed a fun trip to Funway! The outing was a perfect mix of games, food, and bonding – a great way to celebrate the season and build lasting memories with friends.     Looking ahead, we’re planning a Christmas Potluck to bring the entire hall together for some festive fun. Stay tuned for more details on how you can contribute to the celebration. We can’t wait to share in the holiday spirit with everyone! Stay tuned for more updates ...

October 2024

Hey y'all we're back at it again with the 1504 events blog for October 2024! October was when the 04 boys finally started to find their rhythm…Literally, as RC Griffin Kenna hosted a beat-making session to start the month off. Here RC Griffin taught the students the basics of digital audio production techniques and helped them discover a new creative outlet. The very next week saw the annual wing wars competition, where the students of 04 engage in (mostly) friendly competition to determine once-and-for-all which wing is the best. 04's students were excellent models of sportsmanship, competing fairly while giving their all to events such as an Uno tournament, a Super Smash Bros tournament, the so-called "key game" (where students try to catch each other not holding their key), a mural competition, and a cooking contest we call Iron Chef which I will highlight below. A, B, C, and D wing, respectively, preparing their dishes In Iron Chef the RCs provided each win...
